New episodes of Marvel’s VisionQuest drop on Disney+ on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT, and episodes 3 and 4 (“Reboot” and “Malware”) arrived on October 20. Episodes 5 and 6 follow on October 27, episode 7 on November 3, and the finale on November 10. Outside the Americas that same slot lands on Wednesday, which is why some listings show October 21, October 28 and November 11 instead. Below is the full schedule, what the show is about, what critics are saying, and what you should watch first.

VisionQuest release schedule

The eight-episode limited series premiered with two episodes on October 13, 2026, and is releasing in a mix of double and single drops, according to Decider and Disney+’s own guide.

What time is that where you live?

Disney+ releases each batch at the same moment worldwide, so the date shifts depending on your time zone. The US slot of 9 p.m. ET works out to roughly the following (daylight saving changes in late October and early November move it by an hour):

  • October 27 drop: 1 a.m. Wednesday in the UK (clocks go back on October 25), 6:30 a.m. Wednesday in India.
  • November 3 and 10 drops: 2 a.m. Wednesday in the UK, 7:30 a.m. Wednesday in India, once US clocks go back on November 1.

That’s why Disney+’s UK guide lists the finale as November 11 while US outlets say November 10. It’s the same release. If you’re unsure, check the show’s page in the Disney+ app, which shows the next episode’s date in your local time.

Where to watch VisionQuest

VisionQuest streams exclusively on Disney+. There’s no cable or broadcast airing, so you need a Disney+ subscription (or a bundle that includes it). The two earlier shows in the trilogy, WandaVision and Agatha All Along, are on Disney+ too. In India, the series is on JioHotstar, according to 9to5Marvel.

What is VisionQuest about?

VisionQuest is the third and final chapter of the story that started with WandaVision in 2021 and continued with Agatha All Along in 2024. It follows the “White Vision,” the rebuilt synthezoid who left at the end of WandaVision after his counterpart restored his memories.

Per Disney’s synopsis, Vision has been rebooted and is in hiding from people who want to turn him into a weapon. He’s laying low in Edinburgh and sorting through his memories by talking to the AI personalities stored in his programming: F.R.I.D.A.Y., E.D.I.T.H., J.A.R.V.I.S. and, most dangerously, Ultron. When a bounty hunter comes after him, Vision ends up on the run with Thomas Shepherd, a teenager who may be his son reincarnated.

Showrunner Terry Matalas (Star Trek: Picard, 12 Monkeys) told Disney the idea grew out of the final Vision and Ultron scene in Avengers: Age of Ultron: “I wanted that last scene in Avengers: Age of Ultron between the two of them to go on for another 127 minutes. Then, it dawned on me: ‘What if all of that was the series?'” (quoted by Decider).

VisionQuest cast

  • Paul Bettany as Vision
  • James Spader as Ultron, his first time in the role since 2015’s Age of Ultron
  • Ruaridh Mollica as Thomas Shepherd
  • Todd Stashwick as the bounty hunter Paladin
  • T’Nia Miller as Jocasta
  • Orla Brady as F.R.I.D.A.Y., Emily Hampshire as E.D.I.T.H. and James D’Arcy as J.A.R.V.I.S.
  • Henry Lewis and Jonathan Sayer as Tony Stark’s lab robots D.U.M.-E. and U

Is VisionQuest good? What critics are saying

Reviews are mostly positive. As of October 21, the series holds a 90% critics score from 77 reviews and an 85% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. Early reviews were more mixed, and Gold Derby noted a Metacritic score of 63 around launch.

Almost every review agrees on one thing: the two leads. Critics rounded up by Rotten Tomatoes called Bettany “electric” (TheWrap) and described Spader as “the show’s secret weapon” (San Francisco Chronicle). The main complaints are that the story can feel convoluted and that the show sits fairly apart from the wider Marvel universe. In The Hollywood Reporter, Angie Han wrote that the series “can be quite touching” but that it “too often retreats within itself.”

Episodes 3 and 4 (light spoilers)

This week’s double drop moves the story forward quickly. Vulture’s recap describes “Malware” as a playful “movie marathon” that cycles through horror, true-crime, heist and action styles while digging into the backstory of a new threat called Butcherbird. Omega Ultra praised how the episodes flesh out Vision’s AI “family” but found the handoff from Paladin to Jocasta as the central conflict a little clunky. Both suggest Ultron takes a much bigger role heading into episode 5.

Do you need to watch WandaVision first?

It helps. VisionQuest picks up the White Vision thread from the end of WandaVision, Thomas Shepherd first showed up in WandaVision as one of Wanda’s twin sons, and Agatha All Along leaned into what happened to the twins. If you only have time for one, watch WandaVision, especially its final two episodes. Avengers: Age of Ultron is also useful background, since so much of the new show is about Vision’s relationship with Ultron.

If you want the full trilogy before the finale, the order is simple:

  1. WandaVision (2021, 9 episodes)
  2. Agatha All Along (2024, 9 episodes)
  3. VisionQuest (2026, 8 episodes)

What comes after VisionQuest?

The finale lands about five weeks before Avengers: Doomsday, which is set to open in theaters on December 18, 2026, per 9to5Marvel. Marvel hasn’t said exactly how, or whether, Vision’s story connects to that film.
